Volt & Pixel Uploader ("the App") is a private, single-user tool operated by the owner of the Volt & Pixel YouTube channel. It is used only to upload videos, thumbnails, and metadata (titles, descriptions, tags) to that one channel. The App is not a public service and is not offered to other users.
With the channel owner's authorization, the App uses the YouTube Data and Analytics APIs with these scopes:
youtube.upload — to upload videos and set thumbnails on the owner's own channel.youtube.force-ssl — to make authenticated API requests over HTTPS, including reading the channel's
basic identity (channel name and ID) so the owner can confirm the correct channel is connected, reading comments,
and posting replies on the owner's own channel.yt-analytics.readonly — read-only access to the channel's analytics, including views, watch time,
and engagement metrics. The App cannot change anything with this permission. The data is used solely to operate the App for the channel owner: uploading the owner's videos to the owner's own YouTube channel, confirming the connected channel's identity, reading and replying to comments on the owner's own videos, and viewing the channel's analytics (such as views, watch time, and engagement) so the owner can see how the channel is performing. Nothing else is accessed, collected, or processed.
No Google user data is sold, shared, transferred, or disclosed to any third party. No data is used for advertising, marketing, credit, or lending purposes.
Authorization tokens are stored locally on the channel owner's own computer, protected by file permissions, and are never transmitted anywhere except to Google's API endpoints during normal operation. The owner may revoke the App's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately stops all access. Tokens are deleted when the App is disconnected.
